Overview
The drain port allows controlled removal of IPA from the ProWash/Dry chambers. If the port becomes stuck in the open or closed position, does not lock securely with the drain hose, or leaks continuously, it should be replaced.
Note: Small amounts of IPA dripping when connecting or disconnecting the drain hose is normal.
Replacement drain port kits are available for purchase at the SprintRay Store.

When to Replace
Replace the drain port if:
- It is stuck in the open or closed position
- The drain hose does not lock securely into place
- IPA is continuously leaking from the port
Before You Begin
Replacement drain port threads come prewrapped with white plumbing tape.
Do not remove this tape. It provides the watertight seal when installed.
Step 1: Drain the Affected IPA Chamber
- Use the drain hose attached to the back of the unit to drain any remaining IPA from the affected chamber.
- Wipe the area around the faulty drain port to remove any residual IPA.
- Clean any debris or sediment inside the chamber using the provided brush and paper towels.
Step 2: Prepare the New Drain Port
- Open the replacement kit box.
- Remove the new drain port and included wrench.
- Carefully remove protective wrapping without damaging the white Teflon sealing tape.
Step 3: Remove the Faulty Drain Port
- Use the 19 mm end of the wrench.
- Place it on the rear hex nut flush against the red plastic housing.
- Turn counterclockwise to loosen.
- Once loosened, unscrew by hand until fully removed.
- If any old thread seal tape remains in the threaded opening, remove it using tweezers.

Step 4: Install the New Drain Port by Hand
- Inspect the white Teflon sealing tape for damage.
- Insert the new drain port.
- Turn clockwise until hand tight.

Step 5: Tighten with Wrench
- Use either the 19 mm or 22 mm end of the wrench to fully secure the drain port.
- If access to the rear nut is limited, use the 22 mm end on the larger nut for easier tightening.
Note: Do not overtighten. Excessive torque can damage the IPA chamber.

After installation, test the drain port connection to ensure proper sealing before resuming normal operation.
