ProWash/Dry: Propeller Replacement

Replace the wash chamber propeller to restore proper agitation and cleaning performance.

Overview

The propeller inside the ProWash/Dry wash chamber is responsible for generating the mechanical jetting action that cleans printed parts. Over time, the propeller may become worn or damaged, which can reduce wash effectiveness. This article outlines the proper steps to safely remove and replace the propeller assembly.

Before You Begin

A 7 mm wrench or socket is required to complete this replacement.

If you do not have a replacement propeller, one can be purchased through SprintRay.

Drain the Wash Chamber

Before servicing the unit, ensure the wash chamber is completely empty.

  1. Navigate to Settings on the touchscreen.
  2. Select Force Drain.
  3. Allow the chamber to fully drain before proceeding.

Remove the Old Propeller

  1. Hold the propeller firmly in place.
  2. Using a 7 mm wrench, loosen the nylock nut located on top of the propeller.
  3. Remove the nylock nut and set it aside.
    1. The same nut will be used to secure the new propeller.
  4. Remove the old propeller from the lead screw.

Install the New Propeller

  1. Position the new propeller onto the lead screw.
    1. Ensure correct orientation. This side up only.
  2. Reinstall the nylock nut on top of the propeller.

Secure the New Propeller

  1. Gently hold the propeller and the metallic coupler located beneath it to prevent spinning.
  2. Using the 7 mm wrench, tighten the nylock nut.
  3. Tighten to a maximum torque of 0.8 Nm.

Warning: Do not overtighten. Excess torque may damage internal components.

Once secured, the ProWash/Dry is ready to resume normal operation.
