ProWash/Dry: Slowly Losing IPA

Understand normal evaporation and how to check for leaks.

Overview

If you notice IPA levels gradually decreasing in your ProWash/Dry, this is typically due to natural evaporation. However, it is important to confirm that the loss is not caused by a leak at the drainage ports.

Evaporation

High-concentration IPA will naturally evaporate over time, even at room temperature.

It is normal for IPA levels to slowly decrease, especially in warm environments or if the reservoir lids are frequently opened. To reduce evaporation:

  • Ensure reservoir lids are fully closed after refilling
  • Avoid unnecessary opening of the tanks
  • Maintain the unit in a temperature-controlled environment

Check for Leaks at Drainage Ports

Inspect the quick-connect drainage ports for signs of leakage.

  • Make sure the drain ports are fully tightened
  • Confirm the quick-connect fittings lock securely into place
  • Check for visible drips beneath the ports

If leakage continues after confirming a secure fit, the drain ports may need replacement.

Note: It is normal for small amounts of IPA to drip when connecting or disconnecting the drain hose. This does not indicate a faulty drain port.
