Overview
If ProCure cannot be updated using the Update Wizard, you can manually install a software update by formatting the internal USB drive and adding the required update files. Follow the steps below carefully based on your computer type.
For Windows Computer
Step 1: Power Down
- Turn off ProCure.
- Unplug the power cable from the unit.
Step 2: Connect to Computer
- Connect ProCure to your computer using a USB-A to USB-B cable.
- Ensure the unit remains unplugged from power while connected.
Step 3: Locate the USB Drive
- Open File Explorer by clicking the File Explorer icon or pressing Windows Key + E.
- Locate ProCure listed as a USB DISK.
If the drive does not appear, unplug the USB cable and reconnect it.
Step 4: Format the Drive
- Right-click the USB drive.
- Select Format.
- Leave default settings unchanged.
- Select Quick Format, then click Start.
Step 5: Add Update Files
Download the following files to your computer:
Copy both files onto the ProCure USB drive.
Important:
- The files must appear exactly as listed.
- Ensure they are actual files, not URL shortcuts.
Step 6: Complete the Update
- Properly eject the USB drive from your computer.
- Reconnect ProCure to power.
- Turn the unit on.
ProCure will complete the update during startup.
For Mac Computer
Step 1: Power Down
- Turn off ProCure.
- Unplug the power cable.
Step 2: Connect to Computer
- Connect ProCure to your Mac using a USB-A to USB-B cable.
- Ensure the unit remains disconnected from power.
Step 3: Download Update Files
Download the following files:
Step 4: Format the Drive
- Open Disk Utility.
- Locate the ProCure USB drive in the left sidebar.
- Select the drive and click Erase.
- Choose ExFAT as the format.
- Click Erase to format the drive.
Step 5: Add Update Files
- Open a new Finder window.
- Drag and drop both version.txt and procure.bin onto the ProCure USB drive.
Step 6: Complete the Update
- Properly eject the USB drive.
- Plug ProCure back into power.
- Turn the unit on.
The update will complete automatically during startup.
