Overview

The Pro S uses a small round magnet on the inside of the UV lid to verify that the lid is fully closed. If this magnet falls off or is removed, the printer cannot register the closed-lid state, which prevents print jobs from beginning. This article explains how to identify the issue and replace the magnet.

The UV lid magnet is located on the front inside of the hood, directly behind the Pro S label.

Symptoms

• Printer will not start a print
• Touchscreen shows that the UV lid is open when it is closed

How to Replace the UV Lid Magnet
 

Remove Old Magnet
If the original magnet is still attached, use your finger to lift it off the lid.
 

Install New Magnet
• The replacement magnet includes preinstalled double-sided adhesive.
• Remove the adhesive backing.
• Press the new magnet firmly onto the correct spot on the inside of the lid.
• Hold for a few seconds to ensure solid adhesion.
