Midas: How to Update Software

How to check for updates and install the latest Midas software version.

Overview

Keeping the Midas printer updated ensures access to the latest improvements, stability enhancements, and bug fixes. Regular updates help maintain reliable performance and reduce the likelihood of software-related issues.

Updating the Midas

Navigate to the Software tab on the Midas touchscreen.
Select Software to view available settings.

2. Enable Automatic Updates

If Automatic Updates is turned off, switch it to the On position.
Enabling this feature ensures future updates install automatically when available.

3. Check for an Available Update

Under the Software section, the printer will indicate whether an update is available.
To proceed, select Update Now.
For detailed information about the version, select Release Notes.

4. Download the Update

The Midas will begin downloading the latest software.
A progress bar will appear and gradually fill red as the download completes.

5. Install the Update

Once the download is complete, select Install.
Do not turn off or unplug the device during installation.
The printer will automatically restart when the update is finished.

6. Verify Installation

After the restart, return to the Software section.
Confirm that the update appears as successfully installed.
