Einstein / Pro XL: Network Connection

Discover how to optimize your Einstein Pro XL network connection for enhanced performance and seamless connectivity.

Network Requirements

  • 139, 445 ports: To access the shared network folder (job, logs, update) on the printer. Also, they are used to upload jobs to the printer via the network.
  • 5900 port: VNC server for printer remote control.
  • 2504 port: To connect between the Control Software and the Live Build DLP Software.
  • 2252 (ssh) and 443 (https): To get the software update.
     

Set Up Wi-Fi

  1. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi on the touchscreen.
  2. Select the required Wi-Fi name.

  3. In the Password field, type a password for the selected Wi-Fi.

         

4. Select OK.
 

Set Up AdHoc 

AdHoc is a type of on-demand device-to-device network. In adhoc mode, you can set up a wireless connection directly to another computer or printer without having to connect to a Wi-Fi access point or router. It allows you to load the jobs to a printer that has no Internet connection. 
To set Ad Hoc on the printer:

  1. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi > AdHoc.
  2. The Name field, which is the printer’s name, is set automatically.
    To change the password for the AdHoc, select the Password field. Your password must contain at least 8 up to 20 characters and must not contain spaces.
  3. Open the network settings on your computer or another device.
  4. Find the hotspot name that matches the printer’s name and select it.
  5. Type the password from the AdHoc tab on the printer into the Password field.
  6. Select Save.

     

Set Up Ethernet

  1. Plug the Ethernet cable into the network connector located on the back of the printer.
  2. Connect the Ethernet cable to your network.
  3. On the printer screen, select Settings > Network Settings > Ethernet
  4. There are two types of Connection: static and dynamic. Dynamic connection or DHCP – assigns the printer a dynamic IP address. All the fields are greyed out.
    To set the Static connection, complete the fields manually using the settings for your network.
     

Set VNC Password

Set new password:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Printer Settings > VNC Password on the touchscreen
  2. Set the password according to the requirements in the Password field.
  3. Press SAVE.
  4. Restart the printer to apply new settings.
     

Reset the existing password:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Printer Settings > VNC Password.
  2. Press Reset Password.
  3. Enter new password in the Password field.
  4. Press SAVE.
  5. Restart the printer to apply new settings.
