Shipping Guide for Pro, Pro S, and Pro 2

How to prepare your SprintRay printer for safe return shipment.

Overview

Properly preparing your printer for shipment helps prevent damage during transit and ensures it arrives safely for service. This guide covers the required steps for SprintRay Pro, Pro S, and Pro 2 printers.

What You Need

  • Original printer box
  • Original foam inserts
  • SprintRay 3D printer (Pro, Pro S, or Pro 2)
  • Build platform and resin tank (only if requested by Support)

Steps for Packaging Printer

1. Power Down the Printer

Pro / Pro S: Turn off the printer using the rear power switch.
Pro 2: Press the power button on the back, then select Power Off on the touchscreen.
After shutting down: Disconnect all cables and unplug the printer. Unplugging is required so the Z-axis can be moved into its shipping position.

2. Remove the Resin Tank and Build Platform

Unlock and remove the build platform. Remove the resin tank by pulling it forward using the tank handles. Empty and clean the tank if resin is present.
Pro 2 Note: Do not remove the Optical Panel. Confirm all Optical Panel clips are fully locked.

3. Clean and Reinstall the Build Platform (If Requested)

If Support instructs you to return the build platform: Clean it with IPA, reinstall it, and ensure it is fully locked.
Important: If the platform detaches during shipping, internal damage may occur. Customers are responsible if it was left unlocked.

4. Clean and Reinstall the Resin Tank (If Requested)

If Support asks you to include the resin tank: Clean it thoroughly with IPA and reinstall it.
With the printer powered off and unplugged, gently push the build arm down until the platform makes light contact with the tank lid. Do not compress further. This stabilizes internal components during transit.

5. Prepare the Printer for Boxing

Ensure the UV protective hood is fully closed. Confirm the platform is locked and resting lightly against the tank lid. Remove any loose accessories. Only return the platform or tank if Support has specifically requested it.

6. Pack the Printer Properly

Place the bottom foam insert in the original box. Lift the printer (two people recommended for Pro 2, which weighs over 50 lbs) and place it upright into the box, with the red hood facing the front. Install all foam pieces exactly as originally packaged. Place the top foam insert securely over the printer. Do not return accessories, guides, or cables unless requested.
If you no longer have the original box, contact SprintRay Support for a replacement shipping kit.

7. Seal and Ship

Close and tape the box securely using heavy-duty packing tape. Attach the RMA return label provided by Support. Ship the printer to your assigned SprintRay service center.
